Looks like USC's 2 most versatile offense weapons could be out for the big game saturday. Fullback Stanley Havili is still nursing his injury and TE McCoy is yet to practice due to a sprained ankle. This just adds to the boatload of starters who have missed games. USC is yet to play a game with all 22 starters listed on the preseason depth chart. This doesn't bode well against a team who is red hot and is the biggest threat USC's had to end their PAC 10 championship streak.

Damn that tight end was a beast against Notre Dame... Big hit to the offense IMO.

havili is the bigger hit IMO. if there is one player on that offense that i couldnt stand to lose (outside of barkley) its havili. he does everything for us.

Havili is a big problem. But the defense is the biggest concern here for USC. They can't play like they did against Oregon State. If they do, it will become a shoot out against Oregon that the Trojans are likely to loose.

i dont see the defense playing like they did against OSU and ND. the running attacks of both those teams were similar and zone lead (not read) is something USC always has a problem with. there IS a reason why its the basic blocking scheme of the NFL. USC over-pursues it and leave a cutback. the benefit playing against UO is that they have to respect the QB keeper so they will stay in their lanes and not over-pursue. there will be points given up, dont get me wrong, but i dont see the assignment breakdown happening like it did against OSU and ND

Two huge losses indeed. That being said, I think SC wins this one big after a back and forth first half.

A little over four hours until I officially get up to head out to campus for the ESPN College Gameday broadcast, but I'm too excited to sleep. I swung by Autzen earlier today, and Max and a few other guys from the pit crew were camped out in front of the stadium entrance chatting with some of the ESPN crew, they're sleeping out there tonight. Soon it'll be time to park on campus, make the hike across the Autzen footbridge, and stand for three hours for the College Gameday broadcast. Once that's done it's on to the Kenny Wheaton charity walk/run next door to the stadium in Alton Baker park, followed by a day of tailgating before kickoff at 5pm. It's going to be a ridiculously long day, but well worth the thousand mile drive from LA.

its gonna be amazing. for the first time in a long time, im going into a game knowing that i wont feel bad if USC loses. its been awhile. I think Duck fans may be enjoying a Rose Bowl for a year and keeping the seat warm for USC while we reload.

Weather has taken a turn for the better in Eugene today. instead of 40 degrees and rain were having 50s and low chance of rain.

Stanley Havili will be available for the game today but will not start. DJ Shoemate (converted bluechip wideout) will be the starting fullback again this week.

Hope it still doesn't happen, but I won't detest my team if we loose here. Hopefully if the Trojans fall, we can still be an at large bid in the BCS.
