that the Pac-10 is a hell of a conference? anyone who thought USC would lose the players they did, lose both coordinators, and have all the injuries theyve had and not have a season like this against the rest of the Pac-10 was kidding themselves.
can we please find a good playcaller?

playcaller? yeah that certainly is a problem. This is the worst playcaller Carroll has had. But wait. This is also: 1. The most overrated team ever in the BCS top 10 2. A terrible offense 3. A terrible defense 4. Terrible special teams
All together, if the Trojans were the exact opposite of who they are...they would be the best team in collegiate football history lol. Call me negative, but it's true. The Pac 10 is awesome, but this is also a bad USC team with no heart. I hope Arizona wins the rest of their games...I would love to see them in their first ever Rose Bowl.

Don't think I'm abandoning them though. I love my team, they just suck. The UCLA game is all that matters to me now.

i wouldnt go as far as to say they suck. theyre just inexperienced in all phases but Oline and the secondary. we have run the ball well all year and our pass coverage has been good not great. this is by far the worst team PC has had since his first year, but theres a lot that goes into it injuries, first time coordinators, etc. I think next year USC will be back on top again.
All year USC has failed to declare their identity on both sides of the ball. there IS such a thing as being overbalanced to the point where you outhink yourself. i think thats what did USC in. in any case, Carroll has done way too much for USC for me to even begin questioning him as a coach and i wont. I think USC will finish strong in their last two games, will finally be healthy after this bye week, and will have a great season in 2010. The schedule will turn for the better for USC next year as well. lots to look forward to

I don't question Pete Carroll, but I question these coordinators and this defense. I am not convinced that experience will make this defense any better in 2010. I'm also not entirely convinced that Barkley will ever become a great QB. And with Luck and Masoli back next year, I have really no belief that 2010 will be a great season.
I am convinced that this offensive coordinator is an idiot and needs to go. All we have is a good running game and that is not enough.

well heres another thing. the offensive coordinator isnt calling the plays. Jeremy Bates is the QB coach and playcaller. the OC is Johnny Morton. so who's the leader of the offense? as far as the defense, they miss Holt's attitude. Both PC and Rocky Seto are too nice. again, you dont lose what usc lost and expect a good season, no matter how many blue chippers you have.

I'll bet Cal would happily loan Dudwig to USC...maybe not now, but within a year or two the Berkeley crew will realize how much he sucks and be perfectly willing to pass him along.

Just sayin'. He was the backup QB 69-72, riding the pine behind Dan Fouts.

Why would Cutcliffe leave Duke for USC? He is making an awesome salary and as long as Duke is competitive, he will always have a job.
Face it. The Pac 10 is loaded with coaching talent. And the talent is not only going to USC now. Now Pete Carroll will have to coach rather then just rely on SC's superior talent disparity.
By the way did anyone see how quickly that stadium emptied yesterday?

im not saying they'll come. im just saying those are the guys i'd like to have. neither will happen. Bates will not be let go either.
the stadium always empties quickly. they are very efficient there knowing how traffic will be. theres a bunch of people who go to the games as a social event more than anything. they always leave before the game ends regardless of the score. ive always said LA doesnt deserve the success USC has had. its nothing new.

Perhaps the Raiders should come back.
